Employment Specialist

Naples, FL

The Employment Specialist (ES) assists individuals with a disability or other barriers to employment, in finding competitive, integrated employment in the Naples area. This is accomplished through assisting the customer in job readiness skills such as resume and cover letter writing and interviewing skills. The ES works from their home office and meets with customers at various locations in Naples. While this is a work from home position most of the time is spent in the field either meeting with customers or calling on employers to hire our customers. A successful candidate will like being on the go, meeting new people, networking, cold calling on businesses and initiating business relationships. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suites and internet research are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies and contacts potential employers
  • Builds rapport with employers quickly and effectively via face-to-face meetings and phone calls.
  • Works with the customers to discover occupations of interest that match their skills and abilities
  • Improve customer’s employable skills through training and coaching
  • Documenting interaction with the customer and the customer’s progress
  • Monitoring the customer’s job performance once hired
